A City within a Park is a 1992 Centennial Book that celebrates one hundred years of parks and boulevards in Kansas City, Missouri. The park system is covered from its beginnings in 1893 through 1993 and includes descriptions of plans for the next century. There is generous usage of period photographs and the two-page divisions are hand-colored pages of original black and white plans for the 1893 system.
